This Is Aura Vale

Our sanity is a grey area. A complex architectural masterpiece of thoughts and emotions. In it we find inspiration, imagination and impulse, As well as insignificance, fear and despair. The beauty of our thoughts. The ugliness of our flaws. There’s a place… in all of us, in the darkest corner of our minds, Where we find solace. Whether we know it our not, we are constantly searching for this corner. Peace of mind comes to those who find it, While some of us drive ourselves insane along the way. Ever wanted to evoke the darker shade of your existence? This is the story of those who tread softly along that blurred line of reality. This is every twisted thought in your head, and every moment of clarity. This is Aura Vale. And you are not alone.

A teaser for our first ever single, Litchfield

Begin.

It’s 9:30pm on the 7th May and I am currently buried deep somewhere between guitar pro and notepad on my laptop working hard on putting the lyrical finishing touches on our first five songs.  I can remember way back in February when we had set ourselves the task of completing the writing process by August sitting there thinking just how monumental a task it seemed at that stage.  However, now that we’re five songs in with only a few more to go it seems a lot more real and ultimately very exciting.

I’m sure by the time any of you are reading this we will have well and truly revealed everything for the world to see, so I guess right now this will be purely for nostalgia.  How we’ve grown as people and musicians, even at this early stage of proceedings, is partially the reason why we’ve decided to create this page, just to look back on it and also to provide updates for those who share our interest in what we’re doing.

On that note, as for what we are doing, you can all expect to see a “demo” (that word is thrown around far too much and in varying degrees of sincerity, unveiled in September upon release, most likely for download and to plague the internet with what you are hearing.

October also sees us onstage for the first time, and this is something I, and everyone else in this Band, have been looking forward to for a long time.  I think it’s because there is real meaning and message behind everything we’re doing this time, that just to be able to communicate this to people through doing what we love is going to be a lot of fun for all of us, and hopefully you as well.

We will continue to post content right throughout our recording process so that by the time somebody gets wind of this we’ll have something to show for ourselves.

Thanks for reading.
